K9s Keb (American Humane SAR Hero Dog 2022 and star in soon to be released book: A Dog’s Devotion) and Kili passed their third party Canine Forensics Foundation Historical Human Remains Detection certification yesterday. This work requires fine gridding and dogs trained to be very methodical as they search for ancient graves and very old cold cases, often working hand in hand with archeologists, historians and technology such as ground penetrating radar. The idea for me was born the year Keb and I were introduced to Stone Age bones by my very good friend and archeologist Eva Moden in Sweden and grew as people like Mary Cablk, Paul Martin and Adela Morris helped us in our training. So, for the moment I am luxuriating in having two great dogs certified in crime scene SAR as well as historical. More adventures ahead. Thank you Lynne Angeloro, Julie Brewer and Cindy Arnold with CFF for your support.
