In November 2021, Guy Mansfield and Lauren Heitmann provided on-site support for the extended and challenging search for Seattle Fire Department Deputy Chief Jay Schreckengost. Chief Schreckengost had gone missing during a hunting trip in rough terrain in deteriorating weather.

Guy (serving as Plans Section Chief) and Lauren (serving as Operations Section Chief) responded as members of the Washington State SAR Planning Unit, and were at the incident command post for 12-16 hours each day, for twelve consecutive days.
